Panzer IV Ausf H tank

Description

The SdKfz 161 Panzerkampfwagen IV, PzKpfW IV, or Panzer IV, is a German medium tank used in World War II.

Designed as a fire support tank armed with a 7.5 cm short KwK 37 L / 24 gun (intended for anti-infantry fire, for Panzer IV Ausf. A / B / C / D / E / F) , it was rearmed with a 7.5 cm KwK 40 L / 43 long anti-tank gun from March 1942 (Panzer IV Ausf. F2, then L / 48 gun for the G / H / J versions).

The PzKpfW IV was the most used tank by the Panzerwaffe with 9,000 units produced. Its chassis was used for several special vehicles and tank destroyers. Its Allied counterparts followed the American M4 Sherman produced in 50,000 copies, and the Soviet T-34 produced in 60,000 copies.
