MULTIPLE GUN MOTOR CARRIAGE T52
Description
The T52 is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun developed in 1942 on the basis of the M4 Sherman tank.
The armament was fitted with a 40mm Bofors in the center of the turret and a 50 caliber burnishing on either side of the turret.
Two people were on board inside the gun turret, with the gunner Bofors on the right and the loader on the left, and each crew reloaded the Browning ammunition from the side they were seated on.
During the 1943 test, crew overwork (excessive effort required for loading and aiming with two turret members) and turret failure (fallen Browning cartridge stuck in the turret pivot). impossible to rotate the turret. Although this is a power turn, it cannot keep up with planes at low altitudes.) In addition, only 64 Boforce ammunition can fit into the car socket, and it will deplete in less time. 'one minute with normal fire. The T52 was rejected for some reason.
The kit has a new turret.
