Description: The model of the Su-100Y Self-Propelled Gun 09589 represents a heavy self-propelled tank destroyer developed by the Soviet Union during World War II. Based on the T-100 chassis, this vehicle was intended to serve as a self-propelled gun while also having the capability to deploy bridges, transport explosives, and recover damaged tanks on the battlefield. Armed with a 130mm naval gun, the Su-100Y was designed to destroy enemy bunkers and other fixed fortifications.

History: In December 1939, the Northwest Command of the Red Army requested that Factory No. 185 develop a vehicle based on the T-100. This vehicle was not only to serve as a self-propelled gun but also to be used for bridging, explosive transport, and tank recovery. The concept of mounting the large 152mm naval gun on the T-100 was proposed to give it the ability to destroy bunkers and other fixed fortifications. Factory No. 185 proposed halting the prototype's development to use the T-100 as a self-propelled gun armed with 100mm and 130mm naval guns. This idea was accepted, and on January 8, 1940, the plans for the T-100-X were finalized and sent to the Izhorskyi factory. The T-100-X featured a box-shaped fighting compartment and was equipped with the 130mm B-13 naval gun. The design underwent modifications to reduce ammunition loading times, resulting in the SU-100Y, also known as the T-100. Plans for the SU-100Y were sent to the Izhorskyi factory on February 24, 1940, and assembly began the following month. Although tested for the first time on March 14, the SU-100Y never saw combat as the Winter War concluded.
