Specifications: The model represents the German 5cm FLAK 41 auf Selbstfahrlafette (Sd.Kfz.7/2), a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun used by the German army during World War II. Based on the Sd.Kfz.7 chassis, this vehicle was equipped with a 5cm FLAK 41 gun for defense against enemy air attacks. The 5cm FlaK 41 gun was a 50mm anti-aircraft gun produced to defend the intermediate zone above the range of light 37mm guns but below the ceiling of heavy 75mm and above pieces. Development of the gun, though started in 1936, was slow, and the contract was awarded to Rheinmetall-Borsig only in 1940. The gun was produced in two models and used for defending important industrial installations. Neither of the two was a success, and both shared the same faults. The rotation speed was too slow for fast-moving targets, and the gun proved underpowered, even though the propellant gave a powerful blast, able to dazzle the aimer even in broad daylight. In total, 60 of the 5cm Flak 41 guns were produced, starting from 1941. Some of them were still in use in 1945.
