SOVIET AT-P ARTILLERY TRACTOR - 1960

Description

The AT-P was originally developed as an artillery tractor for the 85mm D-48 field gun and the 100mm T-12 field gun by the Soviet Union in the early 1950s, but in Third World countries, was later pressed into service as an APC. In the 1970s, the Soviet Central Auto and Tractor Directorate began a development program to replace the AT-P series of artillery tractors with a new generation of vehicles. Kit features single piece lower hull, upper with exterior detail, hinged hatches, separate vision ports and doors, storage boxes, cooper tow cable, separate on-vehicle tools and equipment, 7.62mm PKT machine gun, detailed suspension with individual track links, transparent (lights and vision ports), photo-etch (latches, brackets and grilles).
