Model Description:

The M-706, also known as the V-100 Commando or XM706E2, was built by Cadillac Gage from 1964 for deployment in Vietnam for reconnaissance, convoy escort, base perimeter defense, and other security tasks. It was used in the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, as well as by ARVN (Army of the Republic of Vietnam) and Thai armed forces, later finding customers in military and police organizations worldwide. With armor up to 0.25 inches thick and deflecting angled surfaces, the crew was protected against small arms fire, grenades, and anti-personnel mines.
