LIBERTY SHIP SS JOHN BROWN 1944

Description

One of the two remaining "Liberty Ship" still floating today. The ship is a museum and can be visited in the harbor of Baltimore USA. During WWII, she took part in the landing operations at Anzio, Italy and in the South of France (Provence) landing August 1944. After the war she was used from 1946 to 1982 as floating nautical High school in the New York harbor area facilities. Graduating thousands of students prepared to begin careers in the Merchant Marine. She was the only school of this type in the United States and probably in the world. (Scale : 1/350e)
