RUSSIAN NAVY MISSILE CRUISER "VARYAG" 2002

Description

The project 1164 of missile cruisers was first laid in 1976. The first ship of this class was lauchned in 1979 at ship yard n0 445 and was commissioned in 1983 under the name "Slava". The "Slava" was finally renamed "Moskva" to began the flag ship of the Russian Black sea fleet in 2000. The third unit was commissionned to the Pacific fleet in 1989 under the name of "Chervona Ukrainia" but renamed after the end of the Soviet union to "Varyag". (Scale : 1/350e)
