Description

Product Description: In early October 1942, plans for the production of the VK 45.03 were reviewed, with initial designs provided by both Henschel and Porsche. The Henschel version won the contract, resulting in all Tiger IIs being produced by the firm. The Tiger II featured a unique track system, alternating "contact shoe" and "connector" links. Developed late in the war, it was made in relatively small numbers and was under-powered compared to other heavy tanks, consuming significant fuel.
