The Lockheed Vega is a passenger transport aircraft, also used as a military aircraft, developed in the 1920s. A six-passenger monoplane, built by the Lockheed company from 1927, it became famous for its use by a number flying aces who were attracted by its robust design suitable for very long distances. Among them, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to cross the Atlantic non-stop and Wiley Post circumnavigated the globe twice with hers.
