The Airspeed Oxford was a British aircraft developed early in the war and primarily utilized for training multi-engine aircraft crews including pilots, navigators, and gunners. Oxfords were employed by the RAF and various Commonwealth air forces (RNZAF, RCAF, RAAF, and SAAF). Post-war, numerous Oxfords were also supplied to several other countries. The Mk.I version of the Oxford was equipped with a dorsal gun turret and was primarily used for gunnery training.
The model we represent portrays this specific version. It includes styrene parts alongside resin components and etched parts. The decals feature markings for wartime aircraft operated by the RAF, RNZAF, and RCAF, as well as a post-war machine painted in yellow and blue used by the RNAF – Royal Norwegian Air Force.
