The pump-tonne van (= FPT) based on the Mercedes-Benz 1625 (16 t, 250 HP) and equipped with a 5,000 liter tank, was initially designed for fighting fires on motorways. Throughout its long period of use by many firefighters, however, it has proven its worth in many other fire responses.
