Description: The French Air Force Alpha Jet E – ETO 01.008 "Saintonge" belonged to the Operational Transition Squadron and was stationed at Air Base 120 in Cazaux. Developed jointly with Germany in the 1970s, the Alpha Jet served as an advanced training aircraft for the French Air Force. This particular aircraft showcased a special livery in honor of the wing’s two squadrons before their planned disbandment, unveiled at Cazaux Air Base in southwestern France in 2019. Approximately a year later, the unit was officially disbanded.
This Alpha Jet E features distinctive markings representing the 4C1 Squadron with its leaping lion emblem on the left side and the winged trident symbol of the 3C2 Squadron on the right.
