Description: The JMSDF OYASHIO CLASS 87001 model kit is an accurate reproduction of the renowned Oyashio-class submarine used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). Launched for the first time in 1998, this submarine class has been a cornerstone of the Japanese fleet, with nine units in service until 2006. Two more submarines of this class are under construction or on order, with the tenth scheduled to commission in 2007.
