Description :

One of the last fighter jets to be exhibited during World War II, the F4U-4 entered service with the U.S. Navy in late 1944. It was fully equipped with naval squadrons 4 months before the end of the war. It is equipped with a 2,100 hp engine. Power can be boosted to 2,450 horsepower using a combination of water and alcohol injected into the cylinder's combustion system. Replaced with a 4-blade propeller. The maximum speed was increased to 721 kilometers per hour, the rate of climb was also increased from 884 meters per minute for the F4U-1A to 1180 meters per minute, and the ceiling was increased from 11,000 meters to 12,000 meters.
