Diamond DA42 MPP

Description

The Diamond DA42 Twin Star is a modern, lightweight trainer and transport aircraft in low-wing configuration. The prototype was flown in December 2002, and series production began two years later - in 2004. The basic version has a length of 8.56 meters and a wingspan of 13.42 meters. It is powered by two Austro engines, each rated at 168 hp. Maximum range is around 1,700 kilometers, with a top speed of 356 km/h.

The DA42 Twin Star aircraft was developed at a Diamond Aircraft Industries plant located in Austria, but currently owned by Chinese economic operators. The DA42 aircraft is in fact a highly advanced development of the DA40 model from the same company, and differs from its predecessor mainly in the number of engines, but also in the shape of the tail, beak and waist. It also offers significantly better performance. To date, several versions of the machine have been created Diamond DA42 Twin Star, including: DA42 L360 (version with Lycoming motors), DA42 NG (version with more powerful motors) or DA42-VI (version with improved aerodynamic properties).
