Description
The Canadair CL-415 is an amphibious water bomber aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace (formerly Canadair) in Canada. It specializes in firefighting.
In 2009, it was offered by its manufacturer under the name Bombardier 415. It is the main aircraft used in the fight against forest fires in Quebec, France and around the world.
It replaced the Canadair CL-215. Its production ceased in 2015. In June 2016, Bombardier separated from its amphibious seaplane branch, the CL-215, CL-215T and CL-415, as well as from its after-sales services, which were transferred to Viking Air, company based in British Columbia, on the Pacific coast of Canada.
