FRENCH M 4 A1 E8 "SHERMAN" with 105mm L51 GUN - 1960

Description

French version of the US Sherman medium tank . This tank was fitted with a 105 mm L 51 gun (V ° 980 m / s) using the same hollow charge ammunition as the AMX 30 tank. The barrel is shortened and provided with an imposing muzzle brake. This material produced at the "Atelier de Bourges" was also purchased in 1965 by the Israelian Defense Forces and designated M-51.
