Fairey Firefly Mk.4/5

The Fairey Firefly ("Luciole") is a single-engine carrier-based fighter of the Fleet Air Arm from the Second World War, manufactured by the British company Fairey Aviation.

Despite having superior firepower and better performance, the Firefly only succeeded the Fairey Fulmar late in the war. It was designed based on the Fleet Air Arm's concept of a two-seater fighter and reconnaissance aircraft, with the pilot and navigator in separate compartments. The aircraft aimed to be robust, have extended range, and feature simple onboard logistics. However, these advantages resulted in a heavy structure that hindered its overall performance. This version of the aircraft was from the Korean War.
