SU-122-54 (late type) ANTI TANK SELF PROPELLED GUN - 1958

Description

The development began in 1948. After the war, the need for a self-propelled anti-tank gun was less pressing, however, the Soviet command wanted to keep this type of material in the order of the Red Army. The T-54 tank was used as a base for this tank destroyer. The vehicle entered service in 1954. Mass production was launched in 1955, with a total of 100 vehicles manufactured. These machines were still used during the Soviet intervention in Czechoslovakia in 1968. (Scale : 1/35e)
