Dry brushing is an old-fashioned technique that has been used by modelers for decades. With it, we try to highlight the three-dimensional aspect of the different textures and details of our models. Because of its simplicity and speed of application, it has been used in the film industry to paint sets and models. For many years, it was the most widely used technique by all modelers around the world. Although other new weathering techniques have finally emerged, dry brushing is still widely used for dioramas and background work, buildings, science fiction and wargames, fantasy, characters and military vehicles. It is a versatile and easy-to-use technique that can produce compelling volume effects, authentic textures and highlight details on any model.

The new DIO DRY BRUSH is the perfect solution for all carpet artists who love this iconic technique, arguably one of the simplest and most effective aging techniques. Simply use a brush of any size, fill it with paint, dry it to the touch by rubbing it on a paper towel or cloth to remove excess, then gently rub it over the details of your model to create a smooth, even texture.

In addition, the paint is acrylic and easy to clean, non-toxic and odourless. These colours dry very quickly to the touch in a few minutes and are not affected by enamel and oil washes.

The method of application is very simple and consists of only three easy steps:
Swab the brush directly into the pot and charge with a moderate amount of paint.
Remove excess paint from an absorbent surface.
Gently rub the brush on the surface details of the model to highlight them and enhance the volume.
